Some friends who saw these photos thought I was baking a chocolate heart cake but alas, no, it's a hypertufa planter. Hyper what? Hypertufa is a mixture of perlite, moss and Portland cement. When it dries, it is lighter weight than regular cement. This guy gets to cure for a month in a plastic bag and I can't wait for it to be ready. I'm having a class in January, just in time for Valentine's Day where you'll make your own hypertufa planter and then you'll plant a planter that I've cured for you with succulents I provide.
