Quilt Themed Succulent Wreath

Succulent Christmas Tree

It's a succulent day.  I created the thirty favors for a quilt function next week and I made this Succulent Christmas Tree.  I'm going to add embellishments for different versions.  Check back to see how the same tree is transformed into totally different looks. I'll have classes as the holiday's get closer - I supply everything, you just show up, have fun and take home an awesome succulent sensation.

Gumdrop Roses

Who knew you could make beautiful roses from gumdrops?  I posted that same question on Facebook and a friend replied, why not?  If you can make roses out of bread and glue...these are so fun and easy to make.  This is only half of the dessert I'm making for my garden group gathering tomorrow.  We're making Mosaic Rocks with Heidi Borchers and I thought we needed some garden themed refreshments.  Back to the dessert.  The roses are placed in a chocolate chip cookie pot filled with Nutella with cookie crumbs over it to look like soil.  On to making hand squeezed lemonade.

Mosaics

I went to get fingerprinted today for teaching through adult ed and the county office has their logo in a mosaic at the entry.  Cool!

BTW, come to find out, I have no fingerprints or 'swirlies' so it means I'll probably be questioned.  I'm hoping my secret clearance with the government (I used to handle classified data for rocket launches) or working for the IRS helps me out.  Yes, this girl has had many lives...

Succulent Wedding Boutonnieres and Bouquet

I loved making the boutonnières, bouquets and corsages from succulents for this beautiful couple!   Best part about using succulents is the bridal party has lasting memories of the special day when they plant them.

The bride's mom came over this evening and loved everything.  I even got a hug as she left.  Now to deliver them on Saturday.

Emergency Ribbon Holder

This worked out perfect while I was making the wedding arrangements.  All you need are two skewers or a dowel and two cabinet door handles.

Succulent Wedding Ideas

I'm DONE!   One brides's bouquet, seven bridesmaid bouquets, five corsages, twelve boutonnieres, and one mini bouquet for the flower girl.

Men's Tie Rolled Roses

The bride's bouquet is the only thing left to make for the succulent wedding this weekend!  A friend of the bride made these beautiful rolled fabric roses from the bride's dad's ties that I will incorporate into the bride's bouquet.  I'll add some of the ties to the handle too.  I don't know the story about the dad's passing but the bridal party is honoring him in very special ways.  The groomsmen will be wearing his ties and his jacket will be placed in an empty chair next to the mother of the bride.  I have made a special boutonnière for his jacket.  There is so much love in this family and I am honored to be making the arrangements for the wedding.
