Make Healthy Fun! Workshop

What an awesome workshop at the Morro Bay Library!  I was under-the-weather so I recruited some helpers I knew would do a great job and I hear they did!!!  Thanks to my sister-in-law, Nicki, my bro, David and 9-year-old nephew, Brandon who made a fun morning for kids and adult alike making marbles (all you need is some cornstarch or white bread, glue and paint) and creating a container garden complete with beans seeds to get the kids going on growing their very own garden.  Check out workshops and other ideas to get the entire family to unplug, exercise and eat healthy at www.MakeHealthyFun.blogspot.com and www.MakeHealthyFun.com

Memorial Day

As we observe this Memorial Day, please remember our soldiers who were lost to their families and friends for our freedom.  To those who have lost someone near and dear to their hearts, my heart goes out to you as you remember their smiles and their love.

Craft and Hobby Association Craft SuperShow

Fabulous day at CHA!!! Had a blast teaching at the Craft Academy! Crafters are amazing! I had seriously thought about cancelling my make-it and take-its because of the weather. We saw several overturned cars along the freeway and the weather was something else! I dropped a friend off in Manhattan Beach and would love to go back sometime to do some window-shopping - fantastic looking home decor stores!

Tomorrow is a 'free' day - I'm thinking the show floor will be crazy with crafters!!! I might take a watercolor class. I'm having breakfast with Cheryl Ball!!! and will meet up with some more former Aleene's friends the next few days.

From Crafter's Heaven,
Joan

Vegetable Christmas Tree Centerpiece

My friend is having a dinner party tonight and told me to bring whatever I wanted and since I'm trying to eat healthy, I'm taking this topiary made from vegetables. Looks good and tastes good!

Start with a foam cone in the pot and place veggies on skewers and stick them into the cone until it's covered!
