Creative Natural Highs

I received an email recently that really got me thinking...it was titled 50 Natural Highs. Some of the entries were...no lines at the movies, taking a Sunday drive, warm towels fresh out of the dryer, a long distance phone call from a friend, finding a $20 bill in your coat from last winter.

So, I thought - what about CREATIVE Natural Highs? Here are a few of mine...how about yours?

Joan's Creative Natural Highs
  • Watching the expression on someones face as they open the gift that I made especially for them
  • Having my five year old nephew ask if I brought something to craft with when I visit
  • Taking a pile of craft supplies and transforming them into something special
  • Loosing track of time because I'm having so much fun crafting!

A couple of my Creative Natural Highs are...

1. Having a whole day to myself to make stuff.
2. Having everything at home I need to make a project.
3. Staying in my pajamas and crafting ALL day.

oooohhhh, fun to think about!

1. open air time to think as I please (and try not to get distracted)!

2. plenty of eye candy (colors, textures, shapes)

3. getting into the creative zone and losing track of time (this can backfire into a Creative Problem, sometimes)

ohhh, this is fun:
1. Browsing through boutiques for inspiration.
2. Giggling with friends, crafts, and martinis in my studio (remember??)
3. Sitting on the sidewalk at the coffee shop with my sketch pad and no time restraints

Oh, Pattie!!!

You make me laugh - yes, I remember crafting in your studio with Lauren!!! I have my tissue flower in my office - that just gave me an idea - we're always lookiing for fun stuff to do after we have Thanksgiving dinner - we can make TISSUE FLOWERS!!! You're ALWAYS an inspiration to me!

I need to visit again REAL soon and we can sit at a coffee shop in Santa Barara and come up with awesome ideas!

Love you!
